Dogwood Seniors 50 Plus

Stay connected, be active, join in on the fun!

About Us

The Dogwood Pavilion was opened as a senior citizens recreation centre in 1977.

The City of Coquitlam supported programs and activities for seniors before the pavilion existed and continued to do so once the pavilion opened, with input from a seniors advisory committee and seniors clubs. Our Society was officially registered both provincially and federally January 1, 1991 and we work in partnership with the city.

The Society’s Mission: Dogwood Pavilion Seniors’ Society provides an inclusive community for Adults 50+ promoting active living, engagement and connection through activities that support the overall well-being of its members.

The Society has a Constitution and By-Laws, last updated in 2026 at the April AGM. Note that the link given points to the 2025 document at the moment as the updated document for 2026 is still being completed.

Board Meetings
The Society Board of Directors meets on the third Wednesday each month (except July) from 9:00am to 11:00am in the Dogwood Pavilion’s Dogwood Room. Any member of the Society is welcome to attend these meetings as an observer. The minutes of the meetings are available upon request by emailing dogwoodseniors50plus@gmail.com.
