QuestionAnswer
Do I need a Society membership to come for lunch at Dogwood Pavilion? No
What is the difference between Society activities and City of Coquitlam programs? The Society controls the activities it offers, which are geared specifically for adults 50 plus years of age. You must be a member of the Society to participate in Society activities. Society activities are run by Society members who have completed criminal record checks and are registered as City volunteers.

City of Coquitlam programs are offered for many different age groups and interests, and are run by City staff or City-selected program leaders.

QuestionAnswer
How do I join the Dogwood Pavilion Seniors’ Society?See the website home page for information on how to join.
How can I pay the Society’s annual membership fee?The Ambassadors at the desk will accept cash (exact amount only, no change is available), cheque, debit card or credit card.

Cheques can be mailed, along with a completed membership form, to the Society postal address.
What do I do with my membership form when there is no one at the Ambassador’s Desk to give it to?There are envelopes available at the Ambassadors’ desk. Put your completed form and payment (must be cash or cheque in this case) in an envelope and seal it. Ask staff at the information desk where the envelope should be placed after it’s sealed.
Membership information like my address or phone number or email address has changed. Who do I tell and how?A form to update your personal information is available at the Ambassadors’ desk.

You can also download a printer-friendly membership update form, fill it in and submit it to the Ambassadors’ desk or email it to membership@dogwoodseniors50plus.com

Alternatively, you can email the changes to membership@dogwoodseniors50plus.com – be sure to include your membership number and your name as it appears on your membership card.
How do I show I’m a current member of the Society?New members will be issued a membership card. A renewal sticker will be attached to that card each year membership is renewed. Note that there is a $5.00 charge to replace a lost membership card.
Why does the Dogwood Pavilion Seniors’ Society have a membership fee but the Glen Pine 50 Plus Society doesn’t?The Dogwood Pavilion Seniors’ Society operates independently of the City of Coquitlam, with control of activities offered by the Society. As such, there are some costs the Society must pay, including activity insurance coverage, website hosting, etc. In contrast, Glen Pine 50 Plus Society is fully controlled by the City of Coquitlam and its Board is strictly advisory.
