  1. I am trying to find info on your lapidary club. Hours, costs etc.
    I already have lapidary experience
Wordpress did not show club leaders as this page indicated it would.
    Lorraine Fedor

    • Hello Lorraine, My apologies for the delay in responding. Are you checking the Dogwoodseniors50plus.com website. There is a tab for all of the Activity Groups, the leaders and their contact information at the top of the page. When you click on the tab, all of the ACtivity groups and leaders are accessible.
Please Contact Allan Tracy at: atracey@lightspeed.ca. He is the Activity Group Leader for Lapidary and can hopefully answer all of your questions regarding the lapidary group.

  2. I’m interested in playing cards starting in September. I would also like to swim during adults only or senior aquafit times

    • For contacting the admin, please send an email to dogwoodseniors50plus@gmail.com
The webpage “Dogwoodseniors50plus.com” has a tab at the top of the page labeled Activity Groups, Leaders and Contacts. There are multiple card groups available to select from depending on when you want to play and what type of game. In order to play cards with the Society activity Groups, you would need to be a member of the Dogwood Society (Cost is $10 per person per calendar year). Feel free to contact the Activity Group Leaders of those card groups most interesting to you. As far as the swimming, that would fall under the City of Coquitlam programs and you can register online at : https://www.coquitlam.ca/294/Recreation-Registration

      Thank you for your inquiry

  4. We attended the dinner /dance on Friday night June 9th. The Driftsman band was fabulous. They are
as great Rock & Roll band. The dinner was excellent. A good time was had by all.

  5. I love dancing. How did you hear of this.

  6. I love the Dinner and Dance event, or pub night event, however I am not able to find the link in those events. I missed the beginning of June with Driftmen band as I found it out too late and the ticket was sold out.
My friend mentioned that there will be something going on on 19 July. Would you send me an email describe about it, please.
    My e-mail address is sikijohnson@shaw.ca.
    Thanks.

  7. How can I check if I am registered with you for senior games?
    Thanks
    Philip de Ridder

    • Hello Philip. Can you be more specific about “senior games” please. Are you currently a member of the Dogwood Pavilion Seniors’ Society? Are you referring to the BC Seniors’Games? What games in particular are you interested in participating in? If it’s sports activities I can check our membership roster to see if you are a current member of the society and you are then able to participate in any of the society sanctioned activities through Dogwood. I will check on Monday when I am back to Dogwood and let you know your status in the Society. Please let me know if you have any further information to share.

      Thank you

  8. What a wonderful place this is! I was wondering if there are any exercise classes offered among all of your wonderful programs being run?
I am a caregiver for seniors in our community, and am looking for a place to point our clients to, for some activities, socialization and exercise :). Please let me know !

    • Hello Shelby. There are 2 components to Dogwood Pavilion. The Centre is a community centre open to anyone 19+ and offers city run programs including fitness and wellness programs which are available for registration online at: https://www.coquitlam.ca/294/Recreation-Registration. Registration can also be done by phone or in person at the receptions desk. The second component is the Seniors Society operating in collaboration with Dogwood Pavilion by providing volunteer led activities which cover a wide range of interests from woodworking, lapidary, card games, drama groups, choir etc. There are also other activities such as Slo-pitch, hiking, cycling, and Pickleball for the more active seniors but these are not limited to the Dogwood pavilion. Feel free to stop in and pick up an Activity brochure (Society groups) but also a City Program which lists all of the active fitness programs. Thank you for your question.

We also have a Tea garden for light snacks and beverages as well as the Boulevard Cafe which offers a selection of hot and cold meals at an affordable price. We have a library on site and offer weekly movies at low cost. There are
